Bear Buddies takes a holistic approach to early childhood education. At the core of our philosophy, we believe that each child is unique and therefore deserves individual attention and care. Because of their innate curiosity, it is up to us to develop suitable activities based on our observations of each child's individual needs.
A Curriculum Coordinator is employed to develop a weekly lesson plan for the different levels of development. The lesson plans focus on the five basic developmental areas of growth; social/emotional, physical, language, creative and cognitive. . Teachers implement the plans according to the interests and abilities of the children. The activities are modified to accommodate children’s needs. Bear Buddies’ curriculum is patterned after the Wisconsin Early Learning Standards.
We encourage children to explore and discover new skills and talents individually, with their peers, and with supporting adults in a stimulating, child appealing manner.
Cultural diversity and holidays are incorporated into our regular curriculum. We recognize a large variety of holiday and cultural celebrations, including birthdays and Christmas. We do not teach specific religious beliefs but do teach the importance of being kind to one another.
